I know that this novel was intended for a YA audience; but I really enjoyed it. I will be recommending this novel to my friends. The editing was great and the storyline and characters were very well done. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I read on the authors bloc (checking on book 2) that she didn't really like the cover-I have to disagree. I think the cover is quite evocative and actually makes it stand out from the other YA novels out there. Well worth the read. Well done Ms. Holden!Product details

Altho the book did have a "Harry Potter" feel to it, it was an amazing read! Author is a wonderful storyteller. Raiden was a delight and the characters are so unique and fun to envision. I loved how the authors writing made it all come alive for me. I am impatiently awaiting the second book, please hurry! ;-)
I loved this book was just browsing ebooks until i found this one on smashwords and then saw it here also on I was very happy because I liked this book from the start it was very unpredicatble. The setting in the where the book takes place is awesome I felt like I was transported back in victorian times something with a twist of corpse bride meets pride and prejudice. If there is a sequel I'm willing to read it ).
I stumbled across this book and found an interesting read. A twisty plot with a fun heroine! I suggest it to any youth or adult looking to spend a few hours in an exciting world.
